"From now on when someone tells us that they got 23,000 on Cylon Attack, will they be honest enough to admit it was Slomo-assisted?"

What It Does

The Slomo is a small 7cm x 4cm x 3cm black, self-standing device attached by a cable into the rear expansion slot of the Acorn Electron. The connector type is a through connector allowing other expansion devices to be added on to the Acorn Electron if necessary.

The Slomo describes itself as a "Micro VDU Screen Controller" and its panel features two square buttons and a silver knob. These can be used in tandem to freeze any program running on the Acorn Electron and to advance it 'frame-by-frame' at a speed set by the user. A small red LED light indicates when the Slomo is active.

The Slomo came supplied with a one page user guide.

The Slomo was originally available by mail order only from Nidd Valley for £24.95. It was discontinued within about a year of its release and is exceedingly rare. A second hand Slomo will usually sell on eBay from £30-£75.
