Here's another in the now well-established Sam series following hot on the heels of the excellent Play It Again Sam 5.

Once again it gets a big thumbs up from Impact with a good selection of quality games together in one package.

Galaforce 2. If you liked Galaforce, you'll love Galaforce 2. The game has lots of new features and improves on the areas where Galaforce lacked.

It's faster, there's a two player option, more alien patterns and bonus capsules which are dropped when aliens are shot. These give such things as rapid fire but there can be bad effects such as key reversing.

There are sixteen galaxies in total and you return to the first after completing them all only things are much harder second time around. The inclusion of a jump feature is a well considered addition which adds immensely to playability.

All in all it's fast, blasting action at its best.

Hunchback. The game that put Superior on the map back in 1983. Hunchback is an addictive and amusing game, which despite the slightly dated programming techniques, still has a good appeal. Younger players will particularly like this one as they try to guide poor old Quazi along the ramparts of the castle.

All sorts of hazards await him including arrows, flying rocks, guards, swinging ropes and death defying leaps to be made.

Now available for the Electron, Hunchback has to be regarded as something of a classic.

Hopper. A Frogger conversion. You can already get budget versions of the Frogger game including Superior's own version and indeed Hopper itself. This is without doubt the best conversion of the arcade game but is definitely the weak point of this Sam as so many players are likely to have a copy already. If not it is well worth having this one.

The idea is to guide the family of frogs across the busy road and then the crocodile infested river to the safety of their riverside burrows (do frogs have burrows?). Straightforward arcade fun.

The Sentinel (BBC only). A totally original game by Geoff (Revs) Crammond. It never really did very well for Firebird which was a pity as it certainly is good. A massive landscape with 10,000 lands is the scenario and you must strategically battle against the Sentinel to gain control of the landscape.

The Sentinel and his sentries can be seen on the map. They will remain inactive until you take action and you can move around and plan your attack before starting.

You can create robots and transport between them and must try to get as much energy as possible. The Sentinel will be trying to stop you. By draining your energy with a number of devious tricks.

A strange game which has no comparisons so it's hard to describe. Without a doubt it makes this package easily worth the money.

Video's Revenge (Electron only). This is a vertically scrolling shoot-'em-up which certainly is all action. It really is not in the league of The Sentinel but there is a great deal of zapping and it's good fun.
