Welcome to a wonderful EUG #50 with an encouraging response to last month's appeal for submissions and one of the best loading screens we've had for a long while. There's a whole host of things to see and read in this issue, coming to you on April 1st 2000...

!First Stop!

A very full first stop this month shows off the regular 'way around the EUG disk', the latest news from earth and cyberspace and an updated contact page. Don't forget to go back to 1991 with our picking-nose Lord Kitchener demo EUG Needs You too!

Utilities

24bBC ADDRESS BUS AND 8MB RAM DISK SLIDESHOW
A slideshow of diagrams to accompany Robert Sprowson's letter and article which will encourage you to either experiment with your Beeb or shell out some ready cash!

ADD and CREATE ADDRESS UTILITIES
Gus Donnachaidh rehashes a practical program with these simple-to-use utilities.

RAMFS ROM IMAGE (BBC Series Only)
You will find a manual to accompany this in the Utilities Menu, although you will need to go to the command line to install the image.

Games

Black Hole Patience
A great new patience game for all the BBC series machines by our resident assembler genius Mr Richard Dimond. Read his letter too!

Frogling
Hop across the road and the river not vertically but horizontally in this weird variation of an old favourate. It's harder than you think.

Magic Square (BBC Series Only)
Get ready for tricky mental maths from those masters, Headfirst. Full documentation.

Nutter
A seriously bad taste game featuring Adolf Hitler bouncing back and forth, 'nutting' u-bombs heading for his turf!

Solitaire
A computerised version of one of that bewildering puzzle. There's also a reproduction of an ELBUG article on how the program works.

Articles

24bBC ADDRESS BUS AND 8MB RAM DISK
How to build this hardware utility for the BBC.

CHRONOLOGICAL ELECTRON USER ISSUES
Ever lost your way in the maze of Volume and Numbers that aren't always correct on these paper beauties. We help you decide which ones you have and haven't got before we tempt you with the ones we have for sale.

EDITOR'S REUNION
Gus Donnachaidh and Will Watts look in and discuss EUG's past, present and future.

YET MORE DISK DE-PROTECTION
The Hacker's Guide to Disk De-protection continues with a list of some Superior games you can now hack in a few seconds!

Reviews

Time to check out an Electron Music Disc, the sixth Pres Games Disk, the sequel to Shipwrecked, Jupiter III and the mindnumblingly awful Shards release Pettigrew's Diary.

Adventures

Due to a number of requests, the full BBC/Electron compatible PD adventure Insomnia appears this EUG. Arm yourself with the solution published in EUG #49 and you'll be asleep in no time.

Mailbag

Congratulations all round as EUG turns the big five zero. New readers and contributors also air some words as the EUG offices are swamped with mail (No, really this time!).

Note there will be no EUG next month due to unforeseen circumstances.

Note EUG is not affiliated with Toy Story 2, Pixar or Disney.
