Electroneers!

Since starting the User Group in 1991, my biggest problem has been with photocopying. Not only is a photocopier needed to actually produce the magazine, but also to prepare it! Pages need to have a uniform tone to avoid dark shadows or faint patches. This all takes time and until now this process has been done by a friend as a favour.

Recently I was told two things...

1. My friend will no longer have access to a photocopier soon
2. The company which actually copies the finished mags is putting up its prices to an unacceptable level

But it's not all doom and gloom! As from April 1993, disk drive owners will receive a monthly magazine on disk! This will contain all the usual articles, features, advertisements, etc, plus ready-to-run programs - when they are submitted. As the cliche goes, this move "opens up a whole new world of possibilities!"

This is all fine for disk drive owners, but what about tape users? Well, working on the assumption that tape users tend to be novices or at least "non-serious" enthusiasts, they will receive a monthly newsletter in the form of a four or five page print-out for half the current subscription rate (i.e. 65p per issue).

My own circumstances are also about to change, so my time will be in shorter supply. This means that more than ever, I would appreciate all your submissions on disk if possible.
