Congratulations on taking over the reigns of the Electron User Group.
You have a long way to go to catch me up agewise. I'm 52 next birthday but I must stress still a boy at heart. I've owned an Electron ever since it came out and still use it every day for word processing and communications.
I have never actually been told what the yearly subscription rate is. If you would let me know, I would gladly subscribe.
Any chance of printing the telephone numbers of good bulletin boards?
Roy Barry
Thanks Roy. I don't know if I told this story before. When I was 30, I was living in a nursing home. I was a nurse for about ten years between being an electrician and being an electrician. Anyway, my 30th birthday. I hadn't told anyone because, being the type of place that nursing homes are, I didn't want to make myself the centre of attention.
In the evening I went to a friend's room. He was a big chap, one of those who thought a lot about himself. After a while I mentioned that it was my birthday. He drew on his cigarette - most nurses smoke, you know - and said, "You don't look thirty". I felt quite good at that. He took another draw on his cigarette and added, "You don't even act thirty".
Yearly subscriptions are a good idea, both to simply administration and help with planning. Details of current subscription prices appear in the V.+EUG file. You can pay for as many issues in advance as you like!
Bulletin boards. I will look into this. Anyone else? I know there are a few members who use them.
