I'm happy to report that I've sorted my formatting program out. Jon Ripley was able to modify it for me and I can now format ADFS S M and L formats in the desktop of my A3010. By using a nifty little program called DeepCopy2, I can backup as well. As the programs are PD, I have enclosed them for inclusion on EUG in case others, like me, like to work across old and new ADFS platforms like myself.
I seem to start off letters to EUG and then spend weeks finishing them off. Anyway, sometime last week Robert Sprowson sent me his finished AMX to Spritefile Converter. This is simply called !AMXConvert and works on Screenfiles and uniquely Pagefiles as well. The two methods mentioned in EUG #33 do not work on Pagefiles, so this is a very useful tool. It works entirely in the RISC OS Desktop so is a lot more straightforward to use. I have only just sent him my appraisal of it and so do not know if he intends it to be for general consumption. Assuming he's agreeable, I will submit it for all to see at a later date. If Robert has done already do so by then.

The formatting program is stored in directory "f". DeepCopy is in directory "d". You will find these on both the ADFS and DFS versions of the EUG disk but note that they will only work from ADFS so will need to be copied over from the DFS version then renamed to their original filenames. (They have to be shortened to seven letters as this is the maximum filename length DFS allows.)
Only applicable to the DFS version:
Copy over to ADFS then alter the filenames as listed below:
