FMon is a powerful RAM-based machine code monitor for the BBC microcomputer models A and B and the Acorn Electron. It uses about 5.5K of memory and includes the usual monitor routines, such as block move, change memory, disassemble, trace mode, break points and full support of VDU and MOS commands. It also has more powerful commands including user-defined variables and procedures.

FMon is fully relocatable, including the input line buffer, anywhere within user RAM. It also includes a line by line assembler, using standard 6502 mnemonics, for creating small machine code routines.

It is supplied on cassette but is easily transferred to disc.

Mark Lauder, the author of FMon is a research student at Imperial College, London. He is researching, for a Ph.D., into computer modelling of laser processes and hopes to finish by the summer of 1985. Apart from his interests in computing he is a keen motorcyclist.
